Host the Indigenous Mapping Workshop.

The Indigenous Mapping Workshop offers free in-person and online mapping training, led by seasoned geospatial professionals to members of, or people working directly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or organisations in Australia.

Our goal is to facilitate quality mapping training which enables communities to utilise digital mapping technology for the purpose of safeguarding and preserving cultural knowledge, demonstrating connection to land and waters, recording land management efforts and more.

Each year along with our National IMW, IMW Australia can provide four in-person workshops in any State across Australia. This includes forums, conferences or events that wish to host us.

Check out the in-person training we provided at Kimberley Land Council’s Women in Fire Forum in February 2022.
